In William Shakespeare’s times, newspapers didn’t yet exist – however, you are going to change that:
Create a paper which deals with the events of “Romeo & Juliet”!
First, you need to decide on a name for your paper and whether you want to create a tabloid or a broadsheet.
You need to include the following “parts” – remember that their style needs to match your choice of either broadsheet or tabloid:
- article(s) covering the events
- Editorial or op-ed
- interviews with eyewitnesses and / or experts
- background information on family life, esp. the role of girls/women, in the late 16th and early 17th century
- Letter to the editor
Optional parts are:
- Pictures
- Time line
Technical requirements:
- three to four A4 pages, 2-3 columns per page
- font size 11 pt (headlines not more than 14 pt)
Your group needs to present a printed version of your paper at the end of the day!
